Kevlar Conveyor Belt Product Introduction
The Kevlar conveyor belt is a high-performance industrial conveying solution specifically designed to handle extreme operating conditions.Featuring DuPont®s Kevlar aramid fiber as its core reinforcing material, it combines extraordinary strength with exceptional durability, providing robust support for a wide range of demanding production environments.
Core Features
· Ultra-high strength, lightweight and tough
· Kevlar fiber has a tensile strength more than five times that of steel of the same weight, giving conveyor belts exceptional tensile strength and impact resistance. When subjected to heavy loads or impacts from sharp materials (such as brickmaking or metal processing), it effectively prevents tearing and breakage. At the same time, its lighter weight reduces the operational load on equipment.
· Excellent high- temperature resistance
· This product can operate stably over a wide temperature range from -60°Cto300℃(with an instantaneous temperature resistance of up to 550℃). In high-temperature applications such as metallurgy, glass manufacturing, and ceramic firing, it maintains dimensional stability, does not melt, does not promote combustion, and only undergoes carbonization— making it an ideal choice for high- temperature production lines.
· Excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance
· Kevlar fiber itself possesses excellent wear resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Whether subjected to continuous friction from materials such as ore or brick blanks, or exposed to corrosive environments like those found in the chemical industry, it can maintain a long service life, significantly reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
· Good flexibility and dimensional stability
· Despite its extremely high strength, Kevlar conveyor belts still maintain excellent flexibility, enabling them to adapt to complex conveying system and smaller roller diameters. Their low elongation and high modulus ensure that they remain dimensionally stable over long- term operation, guaranteeing precise and reliable conveying performance.
Typical application areas
· High- temperature industries: Glassware forming and annealing, metal casting transport, ceramic sintering, metallurgical billet handling.
· Heavy- duty and high- impact applications: brick manufacturing, mining, and automotive parts production.
· Food and Electronics Industries: Food baking, meat processing, drying and soldering of electronic components (often using Kevlar as the core layer, combined with food- grade materials such as composite felt or silicone).
· Special- purpose machinery: garment bonding machines, tunnel ovens, and various drying lines.
